Air Jordan is sparing nothing in their attempt to make an impression at the looming All-stars showdown that is now just around the corner. Serving as somewhat of an appetizer to exclusive brands for the event is the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG, that is set to flag off what has come to be known as the “City of flight” campaign that boasts a line of LA detailed sneakers that all point towards the grandest basketball stage of all.
Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG LA
Black/Metallic Gold-Summit White
January 10, 2018|Mens
These new Jordans maintain that 0G outlook of previous models however there is a new color coding in the mix that promises to add that extra touch of creativity. Metallic gold with a dash of white is the way to go this time around as the company remodels vintage edition architecture.
The upper body of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG comes in a beguiling tumbled leather of the obsidian variety that is sparked to life by gold accents that complete the exterior presentation. A glistening pair of laces winds up the dark tongue before encountering the first trademark in the form of a vibrant Nike Moniker that sits delicately poised atop the tongue. A partly gold contoured extended black Swoosh wraps around the heel area onto either side of the sneakers completing the upside display beautifully.
The coal-esque insole is home to a slick LA detailing outlined in a chalky white fashion that brings to the fore some of the city’s most popular trails. The map spans the separated length of both insoles making for a stunning aerial view that summarizes all the nooks and crannies in the highlighted area.
The midsole, on the other hand, takes on a monochromatic shade with its white tone the perfect compatriot for the dark setting. Further below, an icy layer of a barely blue shade forms the outsole and is imbued with standard Air Jordan 1 patterns that liven the single tone. Partly obscure below it, is the white midsole of the upper layer that completes the look quite gorgeously.
In summary these new Jordans channel a black, summit white and metallic gold combination that has been tuned to perfect synergy.
