Inspired by the classic Air Jordan 5 silhouettes, the number 23 is back in the form of Jordan Son of Mars Fire Red.
What should You Expect?
What you should know about the shoes is that it has a very old school feel to it. The color combinations are essentially black and white although Air Jordan has officially dubbed the colorway as a combination of White, Gym Red, Black, and Pure Platinum. You can see where these colors are subtly put into the shoes by looking closely at the kicks.

Majority of the shoe body is done in white with a small black mesh on the center, right below the laces. The tongue is a study in red-black coloring with the unmistakable Jumpman logo on the center, this one done in red. The collar lining and tongue lining are both done in the same shade of screaming red.
What makes these kicks stand out is the fact that there are no visible laces. Although there is definitely lace there, a wide strip of white leather is draped over the laces, keeping most of them hidden from view. The white strip is bare and just begs to be customized for those who like to add a bit of art into their shoes. The laces are plain white and flat – easy enough to replace. A translucent lace lock keeps them in place.
The platinum coloring is mainly found along the mudguard and the heel stabilizer. Instead of solid platinum, however, Air Jordan opted for an eggshell-like texture for the platinum, creating subtle yet highly classy accents to the whole thing. The back portion displays the Jumpman logo, this time done in a shade of black.
The outsole is a translucent hue while the midsole are kept white. There is a small strip of red in between, just to add a dash of excitement to the overall look.
When should You Expect?
The Fire Red will be available on the 1st of February 2017. That’s just a few weeks away so if you like the design, you better make sure that you’ve got yours reserved! A classic approach to shoes, the colorway will sell for $160 which is smack within the affordable range for most buyers.
