The shoe borrows heavily from the Quai 54 streetball tournament sponsored by Jordan Brand. Since its inception of the tournament, the Jordan brand has always found a way of making it a little bit exciting by introducing tournament-exclusive, footwear, and that’s the reason Quai 54 line has been released every year in the month of July. Just like the previous releases of Air Jordan XXX1 Low “Quai 54” comes with almost similar features and the distinguish itself from the rest of summer releases. One thing that sets this line apart from the rest of the releases is the performance forefoot and mid-foot. The new summer release comes in same design just like the other and finishes off with a synthetic leather heel. Another thing that will make the new shoe classy and comfortable to footwear is its low profile sole. The rubber sole is designed to provide absolute comfort while working or sporting with it. The upper is made from high quality leather, and this makes it one of the most durable releases to hit the market in summer 2017.
The silhouette color theme represent pays tribute to the host city of Paris and with the French flag on it. The white, black, University Red and Blue the main colors that are distributed over the sneaker to produce a fantastic appearance. The white color is well distributed on the toe which then gradients to the black as you move to the back. As the white hue gradients to black, it leaves the heels in tonal black so as to produce a perfect contrast for the Jumpman and the Quai 54 logo at the back.
Both shoes are mismatched with accents of red and blue to produces a classy appearance. Other finishes that makes the shoe stand out includes the icy translucent outsole, Quai logo on the tongue and the outsole, and the red innersoles. The shoe will be released on 1st July in Europe followed by a stateside release on 8th July which coincides with the official opening of the tournament.
