Jordan’s 23 is back with this Air Jordan 6 All Star release for 2017. Dubbed as the “Chameleon”, you can instantly tell why the Air Jordan team opted for this particular name.

Chameleon Colorway
Right off the bat, the shoes have this out-of-this-world greenish hue that can be seen extending along the bottom part of the shoes where the soles meet the body of the kicks. It is heavy enough to be easily seen in daylight but subtle enough that it goes completely during dark. In fact, that is one of the reasons why this shoe is dubbed the Chameleon. That is not all though! Viewed under a different lighting and a different angle – these shoes actually take on a bluish violet color!
The rest of the kicks are done in the same color, but with a fading shade that makes it almost black to the eyes. The soles are kept dark with strategic translucent outsoles providing a light contrast to the overall heavy coloring.
It goes without saying that the tongue is done in the same majority shade. The tongue in this case sports the word JORDAN in raised letters. The only sign of the Jumpman logo from the front can be seen on the lace lock.
Speaking of laces – the shoelace here is done in basic black. We’re extremely grateful for that considering how laces are easily lost or damaged. It pays to have an Air Jordan shoe with basic laces for easy replacement. Note though that the aglet of the Chameleon is colored so you would want to keep the original laces safe in any case.
From the back is another Jumpman logo. Unlike the typical no-border Jumpman however, the icon is placed inside a hexagon – further boosting the ‘alien’ feel of the kicks. We’re pretty sure Air Jordan fashioned these kicks with extraterrestrial in mind.
Price and Release
One of the more stunning Jordan releases 2017, the Chameleon will sell for $225 – making it just a tad pricier than the typical Air Jordan issue. This is actually expected considering the uniqueness of the colorway not to mention the notoriety of the silhouette. The only question is: when will it be available? According to reports, you should see the Chameleon in shelves on the 16th of February, just a few days after Valentines.
Do you like them? If you do – better make sure you’re one of the few who gets them when they hit the stores. If not, you can always check out other 2017 AJ releases.
