You hear the words Black Cat and you instantly think of a sexy feline. Well, the Air Jordan 13 Black Cat is a masculine take on the sexy feline since it is inspired by none other than the Black Panther. The Black Panther is Marvel hero making its first appearance during the 2016 Avengers movie.

But we digress because the Air Jordan 13 Black Cat can be inspired from anything and it would still look decidedly sleek. One of the prominent Jordan releases 2017, the silhouette is already a favorite and will now be made more popular with Nike’s color choices.

You have probably already guessed that the Black Cat is all black. With the use of different materials however, the shoes provide varying textures that adds personality to the shoes. The bottom portion is sleek black while the top takes on a more texture appearance with what appears to be white sieves on the surface. As a result, we’re pretty sure that these shoes are breathable and perfect for those hours of playtime on the court. On closer inspection however, you can tell that the ‘sieves’ are essentially white dots strategically placed onto the kicks. Think “pixels” using a highly artistic canvas.

Boasting of a layering approach, the kicks curve beautifully along the heel portion. On the top left side you have got a marble-like installation with a logo on the center.

The tongue is completely black with a Jumpman logo on the center. It is a little disappointing how the Jumpman design is embedded into the tongue so that it follows the same black color – thus making it tough to see from a distance. You must also note that the laces are a little unique in coloring. They are black and rounded but with the same pixelated white design which makes it very hard to replace.

There is not much to say about the soles – they are black but with two different shades of depth.

Of course, you can always wait for other new Jordans if this one is not to your liking. We think the Black Cat may seem a little ‘blah’ when made to sit beside other Jordan releases today, but the dark sleekness of the shoes makes it classically beautiful. Blessed with a timeless silhouette and an even more timeless color combination, they are the shoes you want if you are getting dressed for practically any locations.
