Looking for the manliest Jordan releases 2017? Look no further as Nike reintroduces us to the Air Jordan 12 “Low” – this time in darker colors.
The “Max Orange” tag is really a misnomer considering how most of the shoes are done in black. The only Max Orange you can see there is a strip between the upper and the soles of the shoes. Perhaps they gave it the name because the orange just seems to jump out amidst all the black coloring. We don’t really know – but we’re happy with the results nonetheless.

The shoes feature leather upper, black suede, and anthracite detailing. The black suede is a really convincing feature, adding a touch of class to what would have been a typical sport shoe from Nike. The snake-skin like pattern along the trim adds a dash of boldness to the suede, keeping it from being totally formal. Basically, you can wear these shoes together with a dress suit, ripped jeans, or workman’s shorts – it doesn’t really matter.
The tongue is done in the same suede black with the Jumpman logo on the center. Again, Nike decided to use the max orange coloring for the Jumpman so that it really stands out – even if you’re a few feet away from the kicks. The laces are round and pure black in coloring – making them easily replaceable. This is an important feature we always look at when it comes to Air Jordan shoes. A unique lace coloring might be attractive, but they’re too easy to lose. It’s best to have shoes with basic coloring so that replacing them is a simple visit to any shoe store.
Did we mention that the orange strip along the soles have the word JUMPMAN engraved onto the surface? From the back, you can see the number 23, also done in orange.
Taken together, the Air Jordan 12 Low – Max Orange is neither astounding but not something you can ignore either. It has the makings of a classic or at the very least, something that would appeal to a lot of people. That can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on whether you like to stand out in a crowd.
One of the new Jordans this year, the Air Jordan 12 Low – Max Orange will be available in select Jordan stores on the 17th of January. Price is set at $170 which is just right for an Air Jordan brand. If you are not into the design however, watch out for other Jordan releases 2017.
