Definitely one of the more original Jordan releases 2016, the Air Jordan “Reverse Shattered Backboard” has the incredible appeal of a classic with colors that have a personality all on their own.
It’s a sign of uniqueness when you look at shoes and find it hard to describe the coloring with just the right words. The Reverse Shattered Backboard certainly fits the bill as it displays a shade that looks a lot like newly polished wood – but cleaner, better, and more eye-catching.

For these kicks, Air Jordan uses the description “Sail and Starfish Black” which really doesn’t tell you much. The closest basic coloring combination for this would be a mixture of orange and brown – creating a shade of color that you’ll see around the Fall Season.
The rest of the shoes is done in white with very small instances of black. The white manages to blend well with the orange-brown coloring, further highlighting the uniqueness of the shade. The tongue is also covered with the white coloring so that the black laces stand out more amidst the background. It’s always good to have basic colored laces since this is the part of the shoes that can quickly become lost or frayed. With the black laces, you can easily buy a replacement without ruining the overall look of the shoes.
The kicks display several logos starting with the Swoosh design along the sides. This uses a black coloring against a background, allowing the icon to stand out more extensively. On the top side near where the ankle is supposed to rest is the Wings logo, also done in black. This time though, the Wings is placed on top of an orange-brown background. Either way, there’s no question that the icons stand out from their perches, making it easy to see them from far away.
From images, it appears as though the middle portion of the tongue doesn’t have the Jumpman logo. Instead, it displays the word NIKE in orange-brown coloring. Unfortunately, images for the back portion of the shoes are absent so we really can’t tell what kind of display is placed there. From the limited looks of things, the rear portion seems to be smooth and free from any design.
Of course, if this “23 is Back” model isn’t for you, there are always other options to choose from. With a few more months before the year 2016 ends, Air Jordan will definitely be releasing a few more kicks to keep everyone on their toes until 2017 comes calling in. For now, expect these shoes released on the 1st of October for just $160.
